Talent hunt for India’s first all-girl K-Pop band starts next week

International music channel 9XO and hair essentials brand Livon have announced a talent hunt called India’s Top K-Pop Stars. Auditions kick off in Guwahati and Shillong, come November 6-7.

K-Pop is quickly growing pan-India in popularity over the past few years with Gen Z and stars from the genre are becoming global fashion influencers as well. The talent hunt won’t just look for singing abilities , but will also groom contestants for the ultimate K-Pop look.

Five Indian girls will get a chance to record a K-Pop music video and get a release on air via 9XO. Winners shortlisted at Guwahati and Shillong will be mentored in Mumbai by the likes of Alune and Kuvelu Tetseo and EMA 2012: Best Indian Act winner Alobo Naga.

AUDITIONS WILL TAKE PLACE IN
Guwahati on Nov 6 at Cottons University
Shillong on Nov 7 at St Anthony’s College
