James… say you won’t let go!
Having delivered some of the biggest hit singles with lyrics almost as hard hitting as Adele and Ed Sheeran’s, singer-songwriter James Arthur shocked fans on Friday (June 29) by announcing that he will be “retiring” following the release of his upcoming album.
Arthur tweeted to his fans: “After this album I’m retiring. Love James x”
And although his album doesn’t have a release date yet and even when he doesn’t directly say he’s planning to retire from music specifically, the idea of retirement in any way is disappointing.
James Arthur was the winner of The X-Factor in 2012. Some of his biggest hits include“Say You Won’t Let Go,” “Safe Inside” and “Can I Be Him.”
He has recently released two singles ‘You Deserve Better’ and ‘At My Weakest’, and a collaboration with Marshmello and Juicy J, ‘You Can Cry’. We have just gotten the singer and he’s already leaving so soon.
James… please say you won’t let go!
