She plays, she plays!

We always have a favourite character on a TV show who we adore with our whole heart. Be it for the looks, the personality or the behaviour. Sometimes, we fall in love with a character’s performance and we become his/her fan. But in some TV series, we find some characters that are excellent in their music skills, especially the women! As Women’s day is around, let’s check out some TV shows that portray the instrumental talent in women.
Phoebe Buffay FRIENDS (TV Show)
Played by: Lisa Kudrow
Episode to watch: ‘Bear Claw, Turkey Leg and Old Lady!
Although known for her energetic and abstractness, she was well known for playing guitar and singing absurd songs. With a smile on her face, Phoebe used to sing about her mom killing herself and her lyrics used to be quite peculiar. Though her lyrics were not well-adjusted; her guitar skills were on point; she also taught Joey how to play guitar in Season 5 episode 11. Her love for her guitar could be seen in the same episode.
Alex Dunphy (Modern Family)
Played by: Ariel Winter
Episode to watch: ‘Don’t You Have a Class To Fail’
This teen is a nerd on the show, and is quite savage with her comebacks. She is known quite a lot for playing Cello. In one such a scene, her playing of cello syncing along with the character walking inside the house. She says she chose to play the cello because she would have a better chance at being in a university orchestra than if she played the violin as cellos are more in demand. The statement itself shows her character and nerdiness.
Tomika (School of Rock)
Instrument: Bass Guitar
Played by: Breanna Yde
This rebellious teen on ‘School of Rock’ on Nickelodeon, has been quite the gossip around for her Bass Guitar skills. On this show, she is a Bass guitarist and a Lead singer in her School rock band. Being a tom-boy, with a kick-butt attitude, her Bass Guitar skills are apt and they never fail to amaze the audience.
The Partridge Family
Instruments: Piano and tambourine
Played by: Laurie Partridge (Susan Dey) and Tracy Partridge (Suzanne Crough)
This sitcom aired on September 25th, 1970 and ended in March 23rd, 1974; in which a widowed mother helps their five children to embark their names in the music industry. Here, Shirley Partridge (Mother) plays keyboard and percussion instruments, Laurie Partridge (Daughter) play the Piano, Tracy Partridge (Daughter) plays the Tambourine.
