‘Nazar Naa Lag Jaye’ is all about first love
By Bryan Durham - August 16, 2018
The beginnings of a relationship is always a beautiful place to be. The meet-cutes, the sweet nothings, the long conversations that happen between two pairs of eyes. Nazar Naa Lag Jaaye, the third single from the Stree soundtrack, checks all these boxes.
The love song, composed by Sachin-Jigar, sees the duo join Ash King on vocal duty. Vayu writes the words with a Punjabi-tinged flow. He captures that sentiment very well…you know the one where you never want those beautiful moments to end?
Video-wise, one sees the lead pair Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor play their parts with conviction, except that Rao does it even more so, he positively looks besotted.
The scenes play out at a village fair and you see Rao play a stereotypical guy putting on his best face, trying to patao the gaon ki gori and show her the sights.
A feel good video, it has music that is pleasant and quite undemanding and mellow.
