Midival Punditz release their new song Rootha Yaar

By Bandook - July 26, 2019

It’s a good day for Midival Punditz fans since they have released a new song after real long and yes, it takes you back to the their previous work! After a well-deserved break they are back with a trio of singles which will be released in latter half of 2019. They have released the first of the three songs, Rootha Yaar which is based on the writings of Baba Bulle Shah and features Kolkatta-based Indian classical prodigy, Sukanya Chattopadhyay.

One interesting fact about this song is that it was originally written for the popular web series on Amazon Prime called ‘Made In Heaven’, by Gaurav Raina and Tarana Marwah (Komorebi). In this version of the song they have added a dance floor groove and some analog synths which makes it a perfect listen for a club or an easy listening session at your house.

Their music has a hint of Indian Folk and Sufi, and is finally mixed with a distinct Punditz 2019 touch. Each singles will be by an amazing set of artistes from across the world. After listening to their Train Song from Gully Boy we are hoping their latest releases also pick up.
