Lost Stories drop ‘Mahi’ featuring Kavita Seth

By Bandook - March 18, 2019

Mumbai-based DJ duo Lost Stories have collaborated with Kavita Seth (of Iktara and Tumhi Ho Bandhu fame) for their latest single, Mahi. The track sees a marriage of genres — EDM and Sufi.

It’s a track, out on KSHMR’s Dharma Worldwide label, that’s close to Rishab Joshi and Prayag Mehta’s hearts. “It’s special… one of our biggest releases till date. The track is very close to the signature sound that we envisioned 10 years ago when we started off as DJs”, added the duo, saying it took about four years to produce this track the way they wanted to.”

Featuring the words of the legendary Baba Buleh Shah, it sees Kavita exploring new horizons and keeping with the times. She says of the release, “Mahi is one of the most precious songs of my career. In sync with the new trends in music, the track does full justice to my roots in Sufi music. Lost Stories have brilliantly produced and my son Kanishk has done a fantastic job at composing it.”

Lost Stories gave a glimpse of the track at the Sunburn Festival in Pune in February when KSHMR invited them on stage to debut it live with him.

On waiting for the right collaboration KSHMR said, “Lost Stories are like my brothers and I was just waiting for the right song to have together on Dharma. Mahi instantly struck me as the perfect choice.”
