It’s Kiara Advani opposite Kartik Aaryan, not Sara Ali Khan, say reports. What about the music?

For the longest time now, there’s been buzz of the Saif Ali Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer Love Aaj Kal getting a sequel, directed by Imtiaz Ali. While there’s no official confirmation on the same, it is believed that Kiara Advani and Kartik Aaryan will star in the sequel.
Here’s the thing: Kartik is the golden boy at the moment. He’s what Sushant Singh Rajput was a couple of years ago. His last film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety was a bonafide success and the film’s music did incredibly well.
Sara Ali Khan’s debut in the lacklustre Kedarnath didn’t go unnoticed and she did make her mark in Simmba, but it’s a film with someone closer to her age (Sushant Singh Rajput and Ranveer Singh are at least a decade older to her) that could work in her favour.
Buzz was, she was in the running to play the lead role in the sequel to the film that originally starred her father. But a new report in today’s newspaper states that it isn’t Sara, but rather Kiara Advani (whose lone bright spark in a four-and-a-half-year career was MS Dhoni) who will star opposite Kartik, who takes over from Sara’s father Saif in the sequel.
If the report is true, we don’t see why Sara can’t play a character similar to the one essayed by Giselli Monteiro in the original.
And while they’re at it, maybe get a younger composer for the film’s music?
