‘Hold On’ says Ananya, all women are ‘Meant To Be’ ‘Livin’ The Life’!

Ananya Birla, 23, may have a famous last name, but she is also her own person. An entrepreneur of note who is widely known as the co-founder of Svatantra Microfinance, a company that provides microfinance to women in rural India, she is also a singer-songwriter with three published singles to her name. Also few people can claim to have opened for Coldplay in India and she has that to her name.
Her first single, Livin’ The Life released in 2016 to mixed reviews. However, it was 2017’s #MeantToBe, her second single that really put her in the limelight. It became the first single by an Indian artiste to go platinum for an English single. Her third single, #HoldOn just dropped.
When asked how she would #PressForChange, which happens to be the theme for #InternationalWomensDay2018 in her own way, she says, “I will continue to embrace my own womanhood, continue to empower other women around me as I continue to empower myself. Also, I feel everyday should be celebrated as Women’s Day.”
We couldn’t agree more, Ananya!
