Harrdy’s second triple ton is his fastest yet!
By Bryan Durham - February 10, 2019
You may be aware that one of Punjabi pop’s biggest superstars, Harrdy Sandhu used to be a professional cricketer (he was a pace bowler), but what’s really worth noting is that he is now ‘batting’ as a singer and is no less than a Virender Sehwag when it comes to YouTube views of his music videos.
Like Sehwag, Sandhu has two triple tons (in the latter’s case, 300 million-plus views on Naah and Kya Baat Ay) and his second one has come in record time. Naah hit the milestone over the span of a year, Kya Baat Ay got there in a blazing four months.
Harddy made his singing debut in 2012 with Tequila Shot and has released at least a couple of songs each year till date. Of the 16 songs in his name, at least 14 have music videos with two crossing 300 million views on YouTube.
What needs to be noted here, is that Harrdy’s triple tons have come with Sony Music-commissioned songs. He and the label are on course for a third century with the immensely popular Backbone (currently at 285 million views).
