Happy Happy

Music & Lyrics: BADSHAH
Artists: Badshah and Aastha Gill

‘Hua tujhse connection jaise free ka wi-fi… par main happy, happy hoon’. If those quirky lyrics by Badshah for Blackmail don’t crack you up, you don’t have a funny bone in you.

The rapper effectively captures the film’s quirkiness, bottling it into a bopper, teaming up with Aastha Gill (DJ Wale Babu fame) to make you laugh away life’s troubles.

It’s a song that encapsulates the mad antics that follow once a husband finds about his wife’s philandering and decides to… wait for it… blackmail her and her lover.

The entire cast, Irrfan (prominently), Kirti Kulhari, and Arunoday Singhfeature in a carefully crafted video alongside the rapper as he goes about his business, spitting his rhymes.

Does it get you? Lyrically, it does, but the flow is rather laboured. Visually, it’s as mad as they come.
