Guru Randhawa’s latest single ‘Tere Te’ has him trying out “something new”

By Bryan Durham - November 27, 2018

The high-energy track, shot in Mumbai, features rap by Ikka

Guru Randhawa’s latest track, ‘Tere Te’ is quite unlike his last few releases, despite featuring some regular collaborators. Coming fresh off the success of ‘Downtown’, it is a T-Series production, the video has been directed by DirectorGifty, while the single has been composed and sung by Guru himself, written by Ikka with music production by Vee and additional music by Abhijit Vaghani.

‘Tere Te’ features Punjabi lyrics set to a catchy dance melody with Ikka chipping in with the rap verses. The dance moves in the video are the most pronounced since Lahore. There’s also quite a bit of VFX involved, making this a visual treat.

Commenting on the track, Guru says, “Tere Te is fun dance track. We shot this song in a Mumbai studio with special VFX for the first time. Ikka paaji has done a great job with rap verses. We have tried something new with this single, hope my fans like it. Today, we celebrated Bhushan (Kumar) sir’s birthday and release of Tere Te together. I’m thankful to Bhushan Kumar Sir for the support and always believing in me and my music.”
