Episode 4 of The Dance Project is a big fat Bollywood wedding party

By Bryan Durham - December 14, 2018

The fourth episode of The Dance Project by Sony Music was a Bollywood-heavy one, with the dancing styles on display sticking to the script, so as to speak.

Actress Neha Marda opened the episode with a semi-classical take on a slowed-down lounge-ish Samjhawan (Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania). While it is beautifully shot and Neha looks the part, the moves aren’t as impactful as one would like.

Sonal Devraj and Nicole Concessao of Team Naach follow with their energetic, spirited take on Radha (Student of the Year), dressed in the most 90s outfits possible.

TV show champs 13.13 Crew quite easily pull off the performance you’ll return to the episode for, again and again. Gal Mitthi Mitthi (Aisha) is the song they groove to. Sharply edited and impeccably choreographed, it’s a wedding routine that would be the pride of any sangeet troupe looking to make a mark.

The collaboration act sees the 13.13 boys with Team Naach. It starts out like a dance-off before going freestyle with flashes of Bollywood-hop to Cutiepie (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil). It’s the cutest mashup of styles so far and you’ll be inspired to get up and dance along. Yes, it’s that infectious!

So, go ahead, put on your dancing shoes and dance along with this episode…
