Ed Sheeran REVEALS next collaboration: Bruno Mars
By Bandook - May 30, 2019
When you black out sh*t in tracklists, people are going to be curious (naturally). Ever the one to know the value of a good tease, Ed Sheeran made a fresh revelation about upcoming EP No 6 Collaborations: Bruno Mars is on it.
Yeah, the same guy he serenaded on the latter’s birthday. And who can forget when Mars nonchalantly (and without making eye contact) went, “Again.”
That pop culture moment apart, the two have been known to be good friends. And in a recent interview with Charlamagne Tha God, Ed made the reveal regarding the track from his upcoming EP.
Two tracks — I Don’t Care with Justin Bieber and Cross Me (video awaited) with Chance The Rapper and PnB Rock — are out. Ed’s been teasing the Sheerios with the tracklist tease for a while now. The collaborations. Gotta wait a little longer for that!
“Before I was signed, I made a lot of EPs,” he said to CTG. “I made an eight-track EP called No. 5 Collaborations project with a load of UK rappers I was a big fan of at the time [such as Wiley, Devlin and P Money], and ever since then I haven’t done any collaborations on my own stuff — I’ve done it on other people’s records.” he told CTG.
“[But] when I did the Beyonce-Andrea Bocelli [collaboration] and had them both on the ‘Perfect’ [remix],” he continues, “I started a thing on my laptop called ‘No. 6 Collaborations,’” he added.
Here’s his full interview:
Sheeran stressed that the project is not his next album, nor is it the “next stage of my career” or a mixtape, in response to Charlamagne’s question. “I just want to put it out and move on from it, I don’t see it as the next stage of my career,” he says. “It’s a compilation of artists that I am a fan of, and because I’m still on tour I can put it out and move on.”
Album or compilation, fans can’t hardly wait for him to out the artist names. OUT WITH IT ALREADY, Ed!>
