Diljit gets ‘waxed’ for Madame Tussauds

Becomes the first Punjabi musician to get his own statue at the museum in Delhi.

Guru Randhawa may be charting on Billboard’s YouTube charts (seemingly with every track), but it is his fellow Punjabi superstar (and current toast of Bollywood with his winning performance in Soorma) Diljit Dosanjh, who can boast of a wax statue at Madame Tussauds.

A first for any Punjabi artist, this statue will not be installed at the London museum, but rather closer home, in saddi Dilli. A moment of pride no doubt, Diljit shared the news with his fans on social media, sharing pictures of getting measured.

Thanking the Almighty in one of the captions, he humbly mentions that he never dreamed of such a magnitude of success.
