Darshan Raval’s ‘Yaara Teri Yaari’ is the friendship anthem you never knew you needed

“Four more shots, please!”

Yaara Teri Yaari, the second single off the soundtrack of upcoming Amazon Prime Original series Four More Shots Please is a Darshan Raval track and sees the singer in quite a different space from his hits of the recent past.

The track sees him reunite with music producer Lijo George (after Chogada and Kamariya) and his Baarish Lete Aana lyricist Naveen Tyagi.

The video for Darshan Raval’s latest track sees him become a part of the action in the lives of the four protagonists of the web series, played by Sayani Gupta, Maanvi Gagroo, Kirti Kulhari and Bani J. Wanna know what we’re talking about? See the start of the official trailer where they’re going on and on about a missing compact.

Watch this video and you’ll see how the two videos are seamlessly connected. The teen heartthrob’s deep voice serenades you and makes you immediately nostalgic for your BFFs. The video catches the four leading ladies in intimate moments as they help each other out with choosing out fits, enjoy fun-filled dinners, sip fine wine and down ‘four more shots’ obviously. Unlike the trailer and the video for the first single, this one beautifully captures the innocence of friendship.

Speaking about the single, Darshan says, “Friendship, to me, means some of the best times of our lives. My attempt was to capture that spirit in a song.  Everyone has best friends they can count on no matter what, with no questions asked and it is a bond that is innocent and special with an irreplaceable charm. Working with the Amazon team and shooting with the awesome cast was a great experience. I am certain that the listeners will relate to the lyrics of this song and will remember their own friends.”

It’s a great time to be a Darshan Raval fan. The pop sensation’s reach at the moment is inescapable. He had two big hits in Loveratri‘s Chogada and Mitron‘s Kamariya. He recently sang a song for Rochak Kohli’s re-created title track for Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. He also featured on Sony TV’s Jammin’ alongside AR Rahman, Clinton Cerejo, Shaan and Vidya Vox.
