Bharat’s ’Zinda’ might just be a slowed-down ‘Believer’ that wants you to Imagine it’s a Dragon

Taking the drama to another level with this generation-spanning tale of a eight-year-old tot to a teetering old tau, Bharat’s Zinda is an aspirational song that takes sharp visual turns on emotion and predictable verbal twists on a middling motivational number that’s inspired heavily by Imagine Dragon’s Believer.

It’s not surprising when you have three “cooks” (read: composers) stirring the broth, namely Julius Packiam, Ali Abbas Zafar and Vishal Dadlani.

Bharat director Zafar also pitches in with the lyrics, which kinda explains how didactic the verse is here.

Nothing extraordinarily “alive” about this track. This one may have featured in the trailer, but might just end up becoming a has-been.
