Bappi Lahiri to collaborate with Lady Gaga on two songs?

Bappi Lahiri has ‘nonchalantly’ name-dropped Lady Gaga in an interview with Mumbai Mirror. Bollywood’s Golden Man says he has recorded two songs with ‘Mother Monster’ Lady Gaga while in Los Angeles, with “her singing in English and me (Bappi da) in Hindi.” BTW, there’s also an Akon track coming (more on that later).

But don’t hold your breath, even if you ‘live for the Applause’ because he’s “waiting for the release to be greenlit, hopefully by year-end.”

One wonders if this will turn out to be a ‘Bad Romance’ between two very different collaborators or a ‘Shallow’ hope that will just leave us ‘Starstruck’ for the moment.

I mean, for what it’s worth, iss “news” ki entriyaan nedil mein bajaayi ghantiyaan”. Because let’s face it, “humko aaj-kal hai intezaar, koi aaye, leke (star)”.

As he tells MM, “bas itna hi” for now, the mantra seems to be, ready or not, let’s tell the world about our upcoming projects even if they aren’t ‘greenlit’. Sochna kya, jo bhi hoga, dekha jaayega!

PS: Public memory is short, so we’re saying this. We’re still waiting for his collaboration with Snoop Dogg (where is Patiala Pegg, sir? It was announced in 2015). Also, you spoke about the Akon collaboration in June last year. STILL. NOT. HERE.
