Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor to feature in Sauda Khara Khara re-creation

Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor will be seen grooving to DJ Chetas’s tunes in Raj Mehta’s Good News. The two actors, reuniting after nine years, will feature in a re-created version of Sukhbir’s Sauda Khara Khara.

The original song featured on the pop star’s album Hai Energyin 1999. The music video starred Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea and saw the then-lovebirds together in a video before either of their movie debuts.

What’s different this time, is the setting. The new version will be set in a night club while the old one was out in the open in different scenarios featuring the couple as star-crossed lovers through the years.

From what we hear, the story is about a couple thing to have a baby. The film will also feature Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani in supporting roles.

According to a Mumbai Mirror report, DJ Chetas has said that while he cannot get into the details of the track, he can “promise that it will be one of the biggest hits of the year.”

That might not be an empty boast as Chetas is responsible for two of the past year’s biggest singles, Kamariya (Mitron) and Chogada (Loveyatri).
