Akasa sings for Katrina Kaif in Bharat

The song will be a gender-bending wedding song pictured on Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif clearly ‘wears the pants’ — at least for one wedding dance number in Salman Khan’s Bharat.

From what we hear, the song will have Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan recreating the scene picturised on Salman and Madhuri Dixit in Hum Aap Ke Hain… Koun but with reversed gender roles.

The track, composed by Vishal-Shekhar, penned by Irshad Kamil and choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant, sees Akasa sing for Katrina Kaif along with Neeti Mohan while Kamaal Khan lends voice to Salman Khan.

Set in the 80s against the backdrop of a wedding, it sees Katrina Kaif’s Kumud ‘teasing’ Salman’s Bharat.

The song was shot at Filmcity in Mumbai in January this year on a massive set decorated with flowers and with over a hundred background dancers.

When asked for her reaction, Akasa said, “This is so huge that I’m still absorbing it! Vishal-Shekhar are a dream duo to work with and to top it all, it stars Salman and Katrina! The song is so much fun- it was a blast dubbing it! Can’t wait for everybody to hear it!”
