BEST ORIGINAL SONG
Well, this category awards the’ original song’, which is essentially the song created exclusively for that film and the way we see it, the beating heart of the soundtrack and the film. Without which, the soundtrack would be rather incomplete.

BEST SOUND MIXING
The Academy category which awards the best sound mixing done for a film. In layman terms, this is the team that gives the soundscape the final feel of what you hear once a film is released. Think of it this way, if a pin-drop needs to be heard crystal-clear or if a crowd’s clamour needs to be muffled enough to hear the primary character’s dialogues, it’s the mixing team you have to thank. They’re basically post-production for audio.

Think of them as an assembly unit.
